An example of the worst website layout is when someone has totally irrelevant categories as compared to their topic.
I have personally seen some sites which have layouts like, their niche in health and they got categories related to fashion designing.
So, don’t ever do that serious harm to your SEO.
This thing just greatly disturbs and distracts the user.
Can you just imagine visiting a website with a bad layout, there are more than 80% chances that you won’t like to visit that site again.
So, Why would anyone else!

3. Website Speed

Yes! Website Loading Speed matters a lot! Have you ever heard about Dwell time? No! Let me tell you.

How about taking an example of yourself?
Let’s say you search for something and then open the top site appearing in the search results.
What if that website is taking too long to open! What would you do? Wait…! No way.
You will close the tab and move to the second site…
And here is how Dwell's time of the first website gets destroyed. Results! Ranking down.

In short, a user needs good speed, and Google also has an update for website speed.
So, try to improve your site to increase its Dwell time and hence improving its ranking in SERPs.

4. Website Design

Website design is another critical thing to have a good user experience.
Your theme needs to be responsive and should have an Eye-Catching Design.
I would always prefer to stay on a website with an attractive design along with informative content.
I can also read from a poorly designed website but only when it is the only result I have…
There are lots of sites that have excellent content but actually a bad design.
Just ask yourself! How long can you keep visiting these types of sites, which are even worse when you are using your smartphone.
You’ll surely get tired and in the end, will stop visiting that site.

On average, the higher up page 1 the result is, the greater the number of linking domains that the web page has.

Blog Commenting:

Finally, an incredibly easy way to get some quality links. But still, a little comment approving game is on.
Reach out to the free blogs related to your niche, read the articles, and do some attention-seeking comments like you can ask something which is not entirely clear to you.
Be a little smart, and you will get the job done.

Get Some Links From “Wikipedia”:

Search your niche on Wikipedia, go to edit, update the content if you have new and proven information, and then link to your site.
A link to Wikipedia is way better than links from high-authority sites. But remember, you need to maintain limits.

Many keywords have good search volume on google while low on YouTube and some are vice versa.

Even I don’t type complete query when I search on YouTube or Google. I’ll probably click on one of the suggestions.

I’m going to show you my Golden tip to use YouTube Suggest in an advanced way.
Here you go:

Pro Tip: You just need to put an underscore (“_”) before starting a keyword and it will show you all the words people search before your keyword.

From these methods, do multiple tries with different keywords related to your topic and add all suggestions to your list of keywords.

One thing is to rank your video on YouTube and the next level is to rank your same video in Google Search Results.
If you'll be successful, you'll get 2 to 6 times more views on your video.
Isn't it exciting?
This is exactly where "Video Keywords" come into play. You only need to find these golden terms and insert into your YouTube Video.
I'll show you how to add these keywords in your YouTube video for SEO purposes, in the latter part of this guide. But first, we need to find these.
When we search some keywords in Google we usually get websites in SERP.
But for some keywords, when we search them in Google we get videos along with websites in search results.
These are Video Keywords.
More number video results mean more video-friendly keywords.
Just for example:

Okay! there is a cool tool (KeywordTool.io) to get keyword suggestions for YouTube.

You can generate a massive keyword list and then filter the list according to your choice and your need.
The next method is pretty cool as well.

4. Video Tag's Extraction

You know that If a channel is famous and their videos are getting organic views then it means their videos are properly optimized.
They have used proper keywords in their tags, which you can use to add in your list of keywords.
But how to get these Tags?
This is what I called "Tag Extraction"
Here is how you can find it.
Install Chrome Extension “Vidiq” to view the tags of a channel.

You can copy all tags and filter these to keep only relevant.

You can also search your topic in the YouTube search bar and you can also use VidIq to view tags of the top 5 or 10 videos. One thing to make sure of here is to search only relevant videos.

5. Google Trends

Google Trends is simple and contains tons of information to set-up our efficient predictions about user intention.
But do you know you can get keyword ideas related to your topic through Google Trends?
Let me show.
Just go to Google Trend and Search your topic and set filters as shown below.
After this, you'll get all data of keywords only on YouTube.
Scroll down until you see the "Related queries" box.
Here you go:

You'll find all other keywords which people also search related to your topic and you can use them in your videos to get more views.
These were the methods to build a massive list of keywords for YouTube and some video keywords.

I hope you all know that User intention of a keyword is the real game.
So I would say, go as deep as you can to predict user’s intentions before starting any type of SEO or internet marketing work.
All level-up SEOs know that finding a user’s intention of a keyword is a lot more important than looking for its search volume.
Now the thing is how to play with that thing?
It's quite simple just explore any term/keyword and change the search type from “Web Search” to “YouTube Search”.
Here is the graphic for clear understanding:
It shows either people searching on YouTube have any interest in your target keyword or not.
Simply stating if it’s a video keyword or just another written content friendly term.
These displays are clearly indicating that “smartwatch” is a web content friendly keyword while “How to tie a tie” is a pure video keyword.
You can repeat this practice for your list of keywords to check if they have any potential or not.
And there is a lot more in trends.
You can try exploring your keywords for different locations, try changing location from “World Wide” to “(Anywhere you want)”.
Take a look at this:
It will show you who your target audience is and how much they are interested in your niche.
In this one, you can see the interest breakup of audiences from different locations.
For example, “How to tie a tie” will attract more visitors from Canada & the USA as compared to any other region.
And what about if you want to know more about your target audience.
Same as the above two processes, now it's time to change the category to figure out what type of audience is more interested in your target keyword.
I am selecting “Beauty & Fitness” for my example keyword.
Try checking and comparing results with different options and I am sure your keywords research techniques will level up automatically.
And what is the last thing in YouTube Keyword Research?
You need to check keyword ranking difficulty.

Caution: If your channel is new or doesn’t have much authority, it’s recommended to target only low competition keywords.

Now the question is how to check which keyword has low competition?
Here is how:
Just search for your keyword or topic on YouTube.
For Example:

Now just check the number of results, It is the number of videos that are present on YouTube related to your keyword.

More Number Of Results >>>> High Keyword Competition

So, before selecting a keyword just check the number of results on YouTube and try to choose a low competitive keyword.
There is no exact number of results to indicate keyword competition percentage.
The number of results varies with the keyword group for different niches.
You have to check for a relevant number of results according to your niche.
I mean you can not compare the number of results for two keywords from different niches.
For example, if “cheap cars in the USA” has 1050000 results and “cheap computers in the USA” has 313000, it doesn’t mean that “cheap computers in the USA” is low competition while the other has high.
I’ve also noticed another interesting thing about the number of results.
YouTube shows the different numbers of results for the same keyword depending on your location.
This means, if you are not in the USA and logged in to any of your google accounts, you will not get the competition overview in the USA.
YouTube might show fewer results for your location.
This thing is good in terms of Local YouTube SEO.
Now I think this is more than ENOUGH in YouTube Keyword Research.

Let’s move to the next chapter.

#2. Focus on Audience Retention

This part of the guide will tell you about the importance of your "FOCUS on Making YouTube videos".
I mean why you should do that and how can you do that effectively.
Also, this part comes right after selecting your target keywords.
Not to forget, Audience retention is one of the most important YouTube video ranking factors.
Even if you have to choose between "number of views on your video" & "audience retention", go for the 2nd one as it's way more important.
Now, let's take a little deeper look into this term...
In terms of  SUD (Simply understandable definition), Audience Retention is how much (till how long) is a user watching your video? And what's more important, you should keep an eye on this factor.

If you know people are leaving your video at an early stage of its starting, it means they are watching something low quality, less interesting or of no value to them. And this is a signal for you to make some improvements in your video content.

According to YouTube Blog:
If viewers are watching more YouTube, it signals to us that they’re happier with the content they’ve found. It means that creators are attracting more engaged audiences.
In short, engaging video means a high ranking.
Let people watch your video and make them spend more time on YouTube.
Before we move a step ahead in this chapter, let me tell you an interesting thing.
You can check audience retention in two different ways:

  1. Absolute Audience Retention
  2. Relative Audience Retention

Absolute Audience Retention

It shows the percentage of views for every moment in the video.
Percentage of views at every moment of the video. Take a  look at this:

If your video is not what your viewers are looking for, they'll probably drop within the first 15 seconds. So pay very close attention to this moment.
Once again it's your turn to improve your video for better results.

Relative audience retention

It is the ability of your video to keep viewers watching compared to other videos that have the same length.
Let me simplify the above definition:
If people are watching your video for a longer duration, as compared to other videos of the same length, it means your video has high "relative audience retention"
Looking at the graph, if it shows over 50% relative audience retention, your video is doing better.
The above info was pretty interesting I must say, but the real thing is how to get better at audience retention?
Let's talk about some valid practices that can be helpful.

#1. Tease Your Viewers

Just like the teaser of a movie, which is usually shorter than the trailer, you need to tease your viewers and eventually make them stay longer on your video.
For example:
Let’s say you are working on a video about weight loss.
For better engagement, you can say something in starting like, "I'm going to reveal a shocking tip about weight loss later on".  That might not sound promising, but surprisingly it still works.
Your viewers will be curious to discover what exactly the tip can be!

WE’ll talk about it shortly.
  2. What should be inside the title: It should contain a clear and concise interpretation of your target keyword. Viewers should be able to find what’s inside the video by just reading the title. You can even use the exact keyword in your title but make sure it should be user-friendly. Avoid keyword stuffing.
  3. Keep your title attractive, relevant, and on-topic for better CTR: Don’t ever go off-topic, and make your title click-friendly for a better click-through rate.


Let’s say your target keyword is “How to do SEO”, I can recommend the below titles:

#2. Video Thumbnail

Thumbnail is one of the most powerful factors for video optimization. Even a thumbnail doesn’t directly tell youtube to rank your video, but it surely forces your viewers to click on it and watch what’s inside.
I am it’s common sense if your viewer isn’t clicking on your video because of low quality or irrelevant thumbnail, what’s the point of optimizing it anyway. All of your efforts will be in vain.
So let’s see how to optimize a video’s thumbnail.
The points I have explained about the video title are equally important for thumbnail.
I personally recommend using a custom-designed thumbnail for your videos. You can even add your title text to it. That will increase CTR.
Remember that YouTube requires a certain verification for using the custom thumbnail.

#3. Video Description

Description of your video talks to YouTube and Google and tell them to rank it for your target keyword and its variations.

It is the same as a Facebook Group.
You’ll get very good traffic from Reddit. One of my all-time favorite social websites.

3. Google+ Gives a traffic boost

Oh Yeah! Google+ is a very good source to get traffic.
You need to find related Google Plus Communities and post your video link but again taking serious care to avoid spamming.
Well, you can use Twitter too. But I don’t use Twitter that much so let me know if you’ve had a good experience with that as well.
TIP: Try to keep your video attractive as much as possible depending upon your topic. You can do research to develop informative videos with a good amount of curiosity and that will surely increase the user engagement level of your videos.
In other words.

Success of video promotion is directly proportional to its engagement and attractiveness.

Now, let's move to somewhat YouTube Off-Page SEO.

For now, as a little exercise, I’ll ask you to start thinking about How you search on the internet about everything.

What is Keyword Research?

In a typical way, I would say keyword research is about finding the words or phrases which have high value and low competition regarding ranking higher in search engine results.
Wow… that was too straight. Let’s dive in a little deeper to have a broader concept, as I have got a few more definitions.
It is much more about understanding the psyche of the searcher. What precisely a viewer wants and how he asks on the internet.
It is not only about finding high value and low competition keywords but finding the one which You will be able to rank.
Yes! in fact, nothing is impossible. No one is gonna stay in the first position of search engine results forever.
As my focus is dedicated to newbies, so in this guide, we’ll work on finding low competition keywords.
I have classified this into three subheadings. And the first one is:

What are Keywords?

In simple words, whatever you type in google or any other search bar is a keyword.
Hope you already know that.
Depending on their length, keywords are usually divided into three categories. Check below for examples in the brackets:

Up next are some parameters which will tell you the value of keywords.

Keyword Value Parameters:

The value of a keyword is described by different parameters linked to it. You might have heard of search volume, cost per click (CPC) and competition, etc.
When doing keyword research, you have to take good care of these factors.
What if I ask about your point of view regarding High-Value Keywords!
In case you already know about the keyword parameter, you might have an answer like that:
Keywords with High search volume, High cost per click, and Low competition are the best!
The perfect answer I must say.
But wait! Do you really know there is still a lot more to explore?
As it is said:
“It’s not always about getting the visitors but, right kind of visitors.”
Now you must ask:
What are the right kinds of visitors and how they are related to keywords?
Let’s explore keyword parameters to know more.

#1 Search Volume of Keywords

How many times a keyword is being searched is its search volume. Usually, in tools, it is presented on a per month scale.
Let’s say the keyword “travel agency” has an estimated search volume of 165000. It means people are searching for this keyword about 165000 times a month.
Search volume is a critical factor when we talk about finding keywords for SEO.
And of course, we are looking for high traffic, we should select keywords with high search volume.
Keyword research tools provide us this information, and we’ll work on it right in this guide.
If we link this factor with the types of keywords described above, I would say:

But overall search trends are somewhat absorbing in the case of long-tail keywords.
“More than 70% out of total search volume (for all keywords in the world) is covered by long tails.”
For example, just think of your own way of searching.
How many times have you typed in the search bar a single or two words long keyword?
How about using long phrases like “how to repair memory card”?
Oops! Isn’t it a good keyword to work on?
Actually, every one of us uses long-tail keywords, a lot more times as compared to single or two-word search queries.
Let’s take a look at the graphical view of these theories for better understanding.

#2 Keyword Type

How actually the kind of keyword is determining its value?
I mean what’s the big science in it!
Are you really curious to know this?

It is the type of keyword related to user’s intent, which adds value to the keyword

Let’s do an exercise to understand this:
Think of a single word keyword and try to guess what the user wants from Google to know.
For example, “car.”
There are lots of possible answers to this search, as you can say the user may be:

I tell if a user is typing only this one-word “car” in the search engine, his search is incomplete.
The most probable is, he might be looking for the definition of the car only.
Depending on the user’s intention, the principal types are as under:
Keywords with buying intentions: These are the keywords that clearly show that the user wants to buy something.
These are also called “Buy Now Keywords,” and are the highest value keywords if we talk about the type of keywords.
Do you know why is it that so?
The Internet is actually an advertising platform where almost all companies around the globe, are looking forward to market their products for increasing sales and then profit.
These companies pay huge to advertisers and publishers to find people with intentions to buy their products.
This is precisely where buy now keywords comes into action.
Usually, these keywords include the following words:

You can explore the internet to get long lists of these words.
These keywords have the highest cost per click value.
So, keep your mind sharp when hunting for low competition keywords. That would be more than wonderful if you can dig out some buy now low competition.
Product-Relevant Keywords:  When you are searching for a particular product, you are regularly using these keywords.
Like if I want to buy a phone or anything like this, I ought to look for the best product, or I’d be looking for comparison and reviews, etc.
So whenever you come across words like these:

Consider these very good as well.
For an exercise, you can start thinking more dark for similar kinds of words and can keep on filling your buckets.

Informational Keywords: Simply look at the words below:

When somebody is looking for some kind of information, he might use these words while searching on the internet.
These keywords don’t have much value when we talk about advertisements and sells but these should not be ignored at all as they have the highest search volume in all types.
And when you’ll have traffic on your website, maybe you’ll be able to convert them to be your customers.
So, it is a must to analyze the keyword type to know its value.

#3 CPC (Cost per click) or Suggested Bid

If you haven’t heard these words before…
Cost per click is the amount/price, an advertiser has to pay in exchange for one-click on his ad.
CPC is very directly related to the type of keywords just as you can compare their value.
Informational keywords will have lower CPC while buy now have the highest.
It also varies with the location of the audience. Traffic from European countries has a high CPC.
When sometimes a person has good traffic and a high CPC location but still his cost is low. That can be a case he might not be using the buy now or product category keywords.
If you have been using the Google Keywords Planner tool, you might have read Suggested Bid. It is the same as CPC.
Our target is to find keywords with good CPC/Suggested Bid.
Keywords with an intention to buy something will always have higher CPC as compared to their other types.
Next time you’ll be analyzing CPC keep in mind the below factors:

Exercise: Open google keyword planner and start doing keyword research in your niche to know its suggested bid. Google the niches with good CPC. Learn the CPC science by doing research experiments.
The first two factors are just common, but do you know ad relevancy?
Here is the answer:
Either your website/blog is displaying ads related to your niche or not…!
If you have a niche website with good CPC as per information from google keyword planner, but still not getting that average value of your keywords!
Then, it might be possible that the ads showing on your blog are not relevant to your selected niche.
Now the question is why is it happening?
Actually, Google is improving its algorithms to provide its users with the best relevant ads as per our interests. Google is watching our daily searches very closely and keeping a track of our search interests.
I can remember once I searched for hosting prices and I kept on viewing related ads even when I was on websites totally different from that niche.
I hope you have an idea and can start experimenting to find why your blog’s CPC is low.

#4 Google Ad-words Competition

If you are aware of the google keyword planner tool, you might have seen a column named competition in it.
If you don’t know, we’ll see it in the keyword research tools section of this guide.
That competition is the advertiser’s competition. It doesn’t show value but three levels:
Some new guys think that it is a keyword ranking competition. Well, it has nothing to do with ranking.
But if we are looking forward to evaluating a keyword, this competition means a lot.
A keyword with a “High” level of advertiser’s competition means that a number of advertisers want their paid ads to be shown when someone searches for that keyword.
Usually buy now keywords have high value for this competition.
These keywords also have a high tendency to convert. By convert, here I mean from a page view to click on the ad shown on the website.
Adword’s advertiser competition is another important factor that can increase your site’s CPC.
You can also have an idea of the value of a keyword by searching it on google and look at how many ad results are appearing.
Just like in the pic given below:

#5  Google Keyword Trends

Have you seen “Trends” somewhere in your Gmail account?
Don’t worry it’s not hard to find.
The thing here to mention is that we need to view the trend of a keyword to know its value.
By viewing the trend, you can have an idea of the past performance of a keyword.
Just look at this pic:
If google trend shows a smooth and non-dropping graph for your keyword, means that this keyword is not gonna die soon and will bring traffic to your site.

Keyword Competition and Potential

While doing keyword research you might have come across terms like “Keyword Competition” and “Keyword Difficulty”.
These terms are to describe how much effort is required to rank these keywords.
Once we have found a bunch of high-value keywords perfect for our business, it’s time to know either we should work on these or should move on to a whole new topic.
“Analyze the keyword ranking difficulty”
There are a number of tools available that will show you keyword difficulty or competition in the form of a number from range 1 to 100.
For example, let’s say KC (keyword competition) or KD (keyword difficulty) of a keyword is 32. This means it’s easy to rank as compared to another one with a higher value.
But I’d always suggest analyzing keyword difficulty manually. Don’t dive into the tools in your very first shot.
“You have to understand the manual evaluation of a keyword completely before using any tool.”
Now the question is how to do that?
Before answering this one let’s read some key points about difficulty depending on the information we already have.

Now let’s start:

1. User’s Intent Evaluation for Top Results

When it’s about a manual analysis of a keyword’s difficulty, the most important thing is:
Search your keyword and analyze, if the top results are giving a satisfactory answer to your search query?
If they are providing valuable information, then we need to check other SEO factors. Otherwise, if they are not telling anything related to what the user wants to know; we can consider this rank-able.
If top 10s have Low-Quality Content, which means poor grammar and complex sentence structure (not easily understandable), it’s a win for us.
Here I would like to tell you a very interesting thing about your chance to find a low competition keyword.
“Google still says that it doesn’t have satisfactory answers to about 30% of the total search queries.”
Now just do a little bit of google research to check how many search queries are being made monthly or daily and then check how many people from the world know SEO.
You’ll surely be motivated to continue.

2. Major On-Page Weak Points:

When we talk about major on-page SEO factors in general, it means to check the presence of the main keyword in URL, TITLE, HEADING, and Description.
If top 10s are lagging all these things, it’s a good sign for us.
We must check the website’s content presentation and user experience. View the sites to check if you are finding these irritated and boring with poor loading speed.
Check the content length to be short like less than 500 words even.
Boom Low competition spotted…!
After checking what visually and informatively is weak, is our target keyword.
But wait we have a few other factors as well which we’ll use some tools and then you can surely say that you got a wonderful keyword.

3. Page Authority and Domain Authority:

Install MOZ bar extension in your browser, make a free MOZ community account, enable the extension, and log in to your MOZ account.
After that search a keyword in google and you’ll see the results something like this:

These black bars under each result, are showing DA, PA, and no of the link of these results.
The lower the value of these, the lower will be the keyword competition.
Look to find results with values of DA and PA less than 15 or maybe 10, on the first page after searching your keywords.
Congratulations these are very low competition keywords.

4. Link Profile and Referring Domains

This is where you’ll be in need to use tools. MOZ bar can tell you how many backlinks do the pages have but can’t show the quality of these links in the free version.
Also, check how many domains are referring to each result on the first page of Google or any other search engine.
We’ll discuss these parameters further in the tools section. For now, just remember that we are looking for keywords with the low value of these parameters when searched on google.
“A very low competition keyword means, winning all the above cases.”
You must learn more about keyword difficulty; I mean some in-depth knowledge with the passage of time. That will increase your confidence. I don’t know why it always attracts me for newbies:

I use to say that, along with your intentions to find low competition and high-value keywords.
Don’t ever delete high competition body keywords (2 to 3 words). Learn well, target these comparatively high competition keywords, must take over the on-page SEO, plan some internal links, track keyword performance, take user feedback about your content quality and work as an expert no matters slow.
In that way, once you’ve worked on a high target, your less difficult work will look like nothing to you, within a matter of weeks.

5. Keyword Potential

Now let’s talk about the keyword potential. If you can recall keyword value parameters, you may get an idea about keyword potential.

Yes! In fact, that decision to choose high-value keywords. But I’d like to add a little more info..!
To know keyword potential is to find out how important and valuable it is to work on a keyword.
I’ll not talk in numbers but in general.  A very interesting parameter which I almost didn’t mention separately is the commercial intent of a keyword.
Trust me it’s more important than the search volume of any keyword. And newbies never care about that. Another big reason for Low CPC if you are a publisher.
Yes! If you are planning to earn from Google Adsense or any other ads company, you are going to be a publisher.
Getting back to commercial intent, just intend to look for a keyword with the type “buy now or product”, high advertiser competition, suggested bid, and healthy google trends.
Separate these keywords for your special treat.
Here is what you can do to make sure that the one you have separated from your general list of keywords:

The potential in this tool takes into account competition (keyword difficulty here) and opportunity and overall tells you either you should work on this keyword or not!
And of course! A bigger value of these parameters means you should grab that.

#4 SEMrush

It is the favorite one of SEOs.
What’s the cool thing about this one!

It shows ranked keywords of any website

And I hope no one minds checking the keywords of their competitors. Pretty cool info, as these will be keywords you may not get your hands on, by any other means.
Further, you can also start research by using a seed keyword.
It will generate long-tail keywords that include your searched keyword.

#5 Ubersuggest and Keywordtool (.io)

When you search for something on Google, it gives you related suggestions when you are typing in the search bar.
These are googling suggestions, and it gives four at a time.
Ubersuggest and Keyword Tool extract these for you to fill up your list of keywords.
You can easily copy data from this tool and check keyword value parameters with other tools like google keyword planner and MOZ etc.

#6 Keyword Shitter

Well insert your seed keyword in here and get a lot of long-tail keywords.

In here, I’ll tell you a little more about “what you have to do” instead of “how to do it.” I’d expect you to figure out your own way to do keyword research.
Just remember:

Keyword research is very closely linked to content development.

The best thing is to let the content creator do this task.
A story doesn’t end when you have found your target keywords (ones with high value and low competition).
The next thing is actually very very important.
Here is what you need to do for every single target keyword of your SEO campaign:

To achieve the desired, let’s walk through the necessary steps I personally use. But before that, keep your focus on a single topic. Something we call macro niche SEO.

#1 Make Your List

The very first step is to make a list of keywords along with value parameters (Search volume, CPC, Difficulty/Competition, potential and commercial intent, etc.)
Let’s say you are thinking to work on niche “SEO”.
Use it as your seed keyword, place that in different tools and make a huge list may be.
Do I still need to tell you how to do that! I am sure you can do it.
Don’t forget to use multiple tools (to get search suggestions) as you’ll get different keyword ideas from different tools.
I am assuming that you have made your list containing a lot of long-tail keywords by intelligently utilizing research tools.
So, why shouldn’t I move to the next step?

#2 Filter Your Keywords

It is a manual type of work. You have to look at the list to achieve your ultimate targets.
Firstly, remove the duplicate entries from your list. Then remove irrelevant keywords (there can be a lot of these).
Now as we are beginners, we need to separate high competition keywords (remember don’t delete these).
SEOs recommend keyword competition/difficulty less than 35 for beginners.

#3 Categorization and Content Planning

This step is very clearly stating what to do.
Let’s work on our example of “SEO.”
I’ll categorize my filtered list by separating keywords as:

These are the major categories of SEO, while we can also go deep like “keywords related to content development” and “keywords related to link building”.
Categorize the keywords as per your content planning.
Your niche may have more categories and then you can separate content topics etc.
After categorization, highlight your target keywords (with good value) in each category. Like my target keyword for this post is “Keyword Research.”

I'm doing everything as per my knowledge of SEO but still stuck somewhere far from the success I heard about.

May Be SEO is Tough? Let’s Find Out

If you’ve paid a little deep attention at the starting of this post, you can probably have a slight idea about what I am going to say here.
But trust me, I’ll share a very cool concept and I am sure you’ll love it.
For a moment, simply assume that we are not being specific about SEO but talking in general about the toughness and complexity of anything.

Now the very first thing is you need to refresh your concepts that SEO is do-able.

Its very simple:

There have been too many discussions about interest. If I am not interested in a particular thing, I won't be able to perform better.
 What to do in such kind of situation?

Do you really agree when someone says “You should choose the field of your interest”
I bet you’d say “Yes”
And if you’ll ask me the same thing, I’d say “Yeah …. Sure, it is the best point unless I actually know what I am interested in”.

We often, don’t even know our actual interest and pretend to like whatever is the new hype. 
Do you know I can seamlessly write  10000+ words on a topic while a year ago, writing a 100 words paragraph was a real headache for me?
The question is “how did it happen?”
To answer this question, I often use to say:
Step out of the conventional thoughts that limit you and believe in yourself to get the job done.
And a big secret is:
Interest can be developed.

1. Find your interest

The first step is to find your interest.
It is very simple:

Your interest is what doesn’t bore you.

So, start an exercise to think and note down those things which you can do without getting bored.
If you are a newbie in the internet marketing field like me, you can start learning about multiple skills at the same time as:

Invest a little time in each and you’ll eventually find your pick.
Your interest is the one you're enjoying to perform.
Once you’ve selected one thing, go beyond limits and you’ll find success, knocking at your door.

2. Develop Your Interest

That’s a real comfort.
As I've already shared that interest can be developed.
Pick anything, start learning, and practicing.
Then learn more and more and even more.
Implement your learning and keep doing experiments and the time will come when you’ll start feeling professional.
At the same time, developing interest is actually a little tough as you have to risk your precious time and you may get depressed when you’ll be expecting great results within no time.
So, I’ll always ask you to stick with the first step (Find your interest) in starting.
Once you get a glimpse of being interested in something, stick with that and give your ever best.
No doubt, your brain is the ultimate tool.

Every one of us wants overnight success.
We have no idea about what we are getting into and we expect to be successful within a single night.

Think on your feet about how much effort do you need to beat the content. Think of different angles of your targeted keywords.
Analyze a number of variations of your keyword.
Similarly, you can dig deep into the internet to find other ways of effectively analyzing your competition and then estimate the minimum time required to be on page one of the search engine.

1. Target multiple keywords at the same time and analyze your performance.

If you don’t have good concepts about analyzing the difficulty of different keywords, I’ll suggest you go through a few keyword research guides and a few tutorials maybe.
Then select variations of your targeted keywords like:

Remember, don’t worry about the search volume and CPC at this stage. Just focus on your manual difficulty analysis.
Now develop content on each and publish. You can try publishing on different blogs in order to stay safe from any kind of penalty.
Then start doing off-page may be and keep on analyzing how the things are going on.

2. Continue working and keep patience while analyzing your performance

It’s time to check your sites’ in SERPs….
Where are your keywords!
I am assuming that you know the basics of SEO, otherwise you can google for a number of practical guides. I personally prefer reading Google’s personal guide to SEO.
I mean why do I need to trust more other analysts when Google is telling a lot by itself.
Maybe on a good day in the near future, I’d like to review that guide by Google to make it super easily understandable for every beginner.

Are you meeting the expectations of your viewers?

So, I’ll jump into this thing and start blogging about “weight loss” the very first day of my website launch.
At the same time, the whole world is working on the same niche.
So you should do more research to target a topic on which fewer people are working. 
In short, you need to target low competition.

Try working with long tail keywords. These are relatively less competitive.

2. Look into your keyword’s difficulty, Manually!

I still remember when I was very new to SEO, I didn’t know anything about manual keyword difficulty check.
While it was the most important step in keyword research.
Let’s see what we can quickly adapt to win the game.
Target the topics with competitors having week SEO.  
There are a lot of keywords for which the top ten results/competitors are very week in SEO. My personal niche is also one of them.

Invest more time on keyword research to dig them out.

Target the topics with unsatisfactory results.
Similarly, as per the previous tip, there are topics for which the competitors might have a good grip in SEO but may lag to answer the user’s query.
Google officials say that they have more than 20% queries with unsatisfactory results. The users don’t find what they are looking for.
If you have very good knowledge about a specific niche you can identify these queries easily by viewing the top ten results in SERPs.

It doesn’t matter how good your competitors have optimized their webs for search engine, you can knock them out if you can dominate the content relevancy.

I am following outdated SEO

In the previous section of this write-up, I have suggested you make a routine of reading SEO.
The big reason is to keep yourself updated about the new and currently working methods for ranking higher.
In case you don’t know:
SEO is constantly changing. 
So, staying confident about the old tactics and SEO methods is clearly deadly.
I am not saying that old SEO is completely dead, but you should have the correct information about which method is still alive and what do you need to leave immediately.
A very common example is, keyword stuffing and a high number of spam backlinks were very effective in the old days.
But now, the max you can get with these is a penalty and not any ranking boost.
And further, you might know better what is working and what not as I am still in the learning phase.

I do a little research on google, I take on a keyword and searches on Google and start seeing the top 10 results!
All things look to me the same That post which is ranking on top uses a keyword in front of their title and others using it in their center.
After Clearing all this think You also came to know how’s this title factor important in ranking.

#3. Include Keyword In URL

Guys keep in mind Whenever you use a keyword in a URL, and It is targeted to that keyword only.

#4. Include Modifier In Your Title

Have you ever heard the word like best, offer, buy, cheap, free, or review?
People tend to use this kind of name in their searches while they searches, this keyword is known as a modifier.
After my research and analysis, this keyword is very useful in the title which also increases your click-through rate (CTR).

#5. Put Your Keyword In First Paragraph

Google always sees that your keyword is wherein starting of the post, it makes Google help about in which topic your post lies.
Most people don’t use a keyword in the starting.
Then they start doing the introduction then they start doing an off-topic talk.
But if you start making an article for your post always use a keyword in your starting paragraph of the post.
And also make a good habit to make it compulsory.

#6. Include Your Keyword In H1 Tag

Many CMS uses post title to their H1 tag…
Like WordPress And IF you are a WordPress user then no problem for you guys it will automatically give your title H1 tag and if using another, then make your H1 tag.
Listen? Always check Your CMS is having H1 tagging or not.

Google started penalizing non-user friendly Design site in 2015.
Or in the future, it is also possible that Google did not entertain any non-user-friendly Designed site.
So if you want your site, not to penalized then always use a mobile user-friendly Design site.

#11. Use Outbound Links

If you know about outbound, link well. But for the newbies let make me clear, what is an outbound link?
Outbound refer to that link that will take you to the link where that particular topic resides.
This link will direct you to another page or website linking somewhere else.
You can also use an outbound link for your site to increase your preference in the search engine. It also helps in improving your credit to the search engine.
All should keep in mind that when you use an outbound link, it is targeted to the high authority site.
For example when your post is about how to train a dog then your outbound link sources to WikiHow to see a similar type of post.

Internal linking is the most impressive thing I saw in SEO. You can use internal linking two to three times in your post.
